OPEN THE GATE AND ABANDON HOPE!
Wow! My website is a graveyard......
This site is currently
So small update as of 15/11/2024, though not a site update: I'm doing a coding bootcamp over the next 2 months which I'm super excited about! I've been out of work for a while so it might also lead to a job. More importantly for here, hopefully this will make it so I can make my site much better and actually make it interesting to visit!
So come back later! For now, maybe I am elsewhere on the Net.
You can call me Lasair. I live in Scotland. I use he/him and they/them pronouns and, yes, I'm a prolific homosexual and transsexual.
Stuff I like:
- historical fashion and collecting old shit. I have a collection of Victorian hair jewellery, uranium glass, antique pictures, and other miscellaneous weird knick knacks. my whole house is full of vintage and antique shit!
- horror! give me horror film recs! psychological horror! body horror! medical horror! blood, guts, and so much more! as a warning, loads of my writing and art is horror-based, so if you're not a big fan of freaky stuff, this is probably not the website for you.
- i also like punk rock, post punk, and goth rock (especially 70s and 80s stuff) and the fashion that goes along with those subcultures. since the pandemic started i've been a bit crap at keeping up with my style goals but yaknow! i'm trying to be better.
- i'm especially into punk rock music, please send me recs if you listen to it. i haven't been to many shows recently due to disability, but i really love the music still. i mostly listen to stuff from the 80s that makes me seem like a dad.
- speaking of music, i'm also a big lover of musicals, my absolute favourite is hadestown though i also am a fan of ride the cyclone, 35mm, reefer madness, heathers (also a big fan of the film), six (it's camp), phantom of the opera (it's also camp), chicago, and a chorus line. i may have went to see hadestown on my honeymoon....
- journalling. i've really gotten into journalling as a creative outlet recently. i definitely need ideas for spreads though haha.
- writing and characters. i am currently writing a book and have two major writing projects! please tell me about your characters and your original story concepts. i love that shit. i love talking about my characters too! i have characters from my original universes and also chronicles of darkness characters. i love doing roleplay online and that's what originally brought me into writing. i'll probably have a page on it soon.
- art/drawing. i may put a few of my drawings on this site. i've been into art for decades so it's nice to share. fuck ai "art" by the way.
- RATS! i love animals in general but rats are my absolute favourite! i currently have a house full of pet rats.
- old tech! whether it's ancient laptops, clear flip phones, radios or mimeograph machines, i love seeing how it works! funnily enough though, i'm still quite a beginner at learning to code and i'm still working on building a pc, as i currently share a laptop.
I want to make my stances on social justice clear on the front page. Bigots can fuck off. I stand against racism, homophobia, misogyny, transphobia, islamophobia, antisemitism, xenophobia, imperialism (including zionism), and all forms of bigotry. Black lives matter, stop Asian hate, and free Palestine!
this repository of badges, stamps, and images will be more well ordered in the future, probably on a separate page. i just think they're delightful
